Through the Jackson EMC Surge Protection Program, you can protect your major home appliances from energy surges for as little as $5.75 per month.
Surge HELP® is a warranty program for appliances like HVAC units, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, well pumps, pool pumps, garage door openers and water heaters. The program reimburses participants for the cost of repairing or replacing many electrical products.
Unlike homeowners insurance, with Surge HELP there isn’t a deductible. Surge HELP also pays up to $125 in diagnostic/service fees for a valid claim and there’s no equipment to install.
Coverage Cost
Annual coverage of $2,000 is $5.75 per month (+ sales tax).
For $3,000 of annual coverage, it costs $6.95 per month (+ sales tax).
Replacement Cost
Replacement cost is based on the typical purchase price of the most similar product available on the market today. The make, model and features of the item being replaced are taken into consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions
High-quality surge protectors are a good idea. However, surge protection for motor-driven appliances, such as HVAC units, refrigerators, garage door openers and water heaters can be more challenging. Surge HELP offers protection for these appliances.
You can call for pre-approval once you receive a repair estimate; however, as long as the claim form is completed in full and accompanied by the proper documentation, you will receive payment. See Terms & Conditions for complete claim process.
