Limited English Proficiency (LEP)

Jackson EMC is committed to serving its members by ensuring effective communication with Limited English Proficiency (“LEP”) persons within our eligible service territory. People defined as LEP individuals do not speak English as their primary language and have limited ability to read, speak, write or understand English.

Jackson EMC complies with Executive Order 13166 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.

Limited English Proficiency Complaint Form Procedure

If your needs are not met, please complete an LEP Complaint Form and mail the form to: Jackson EMC, Attn: HR, 850 Commerce Road, Jefferson, GA 30549. The LEP Complaint Form can be used to offer comments and to report any problems relating to access of Jackson EMC’s essential services.

Translation Support

To ensure effective communication, Jackson EMC uses I Speak Cards and has onsite Spanish bilingual representatives in our district offices.

We also offer other languages translations at no cost either in person by using a bilingual representative or by contacting Jackson EMC’s Customer Service at 1-800-462-3691 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, except observed company holidays.
