Preserving life and preventing injury
Safety is important every day to Jackson EMC. The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association has recognized our efforts in the Rural Electric Safety Accreditation Program. An analysis of a cooperative's safety and loss control program, the accreditation process also measures the overall effectiveness of safety procedures, with the goal of preserving life and preventing injury. Our Job Training and Safety department works daily to ensure we create the safest environment possible for employees, members and the public.
Do your part
As a member, you can do your part in our safety efforts. Whenever you see downed power lines, stay away from them and call us immediately. Keep an eye out for trees and limbs growing into power lines. Always call before you dig, and if something appears unsafe, don't hesitate to contact your local Jackson EMC office.
Please be careful using electricity in your home and workplace.
