The Green Generation Grows

The word is spreading faster than Georgia kudzu.

The Green Generation is the place to be, as proved by 11 EMCs who recently joined the Green Power program.

Altamaha, Amicalola, Canoochee, Grady, Hart, Mitchell, Little Ocmulgee, Planters, Slash Pine, Three Notch and Sumter EMCs are going green. More than 200,000 additional households will have the choice of purchasing "green" energy through Green Power's newest members.

Green Power now offers green energy to nearly 1.2 million households throughout the state. The additional EMCs join the original 18 cooperatives: Carroll, Cobb, Coweta-Fayette, Habersham, Irwin, Jackson, Lamar, Ocmulgee, Sawnee, Snapping Shoals, Tri-County and Walton EMCs; Coastal Electric, Diverse Power, Flint Energies; GreyStone Power; Jefferson Energy; and Southern Rivers Energy.

For less than 15 cents a day, just $4.50/month is added to your power bill when you sign up for Green Power. To sign up, please visit sign up for Green Power online or contact your local Jackson EMC office.
