Summer Rates in Effect
Summer rates are charged from May 16 through October 15.
Regular residential electric rates for summer are slightly higher than winter rates because the peak demand for electricity on hot summer days makes the cost of providing power greater during this time of year.
You can save up to 5 percent on your electric bills during air conditioning season by raising your settings 10 degrees during the day when no one is at home and 5 degrees at night.
