Here are seven tips for staying healthy at home and work.

Stay hydrated.

Water helps your body's physical and mental performance, detoxification and digestion. Be sure to drink the recommended eight glasses of water each day, and try to keep a bottle of water nearby while at work or home.

Keep your surroundings clean.

Whether you're in an office or relaxing in your den, keeping your telephone, computer and even your remote control clean will decrease your chances of getting sick. These areas can harbor germs, viruses and bacteria, so be sure to use disinfecting wipes to keep these items free of contaminants.

Wash your hands.

Anything you touch could potentially be hosting viruses, so it's a good idea to wash your hands regularly. Regular soap and hot water should be sufficient. If you're in contact with a lot of people during the day, keep a small bottle of natural hand sanitizer nearby.

Get a good chair.

Lounging at home or working in an office, if you're spending eight or more hours in a chair each day, be sure you have a high-quality chair with good back support.

Get up. Walk around. Stretch.

Be sure to stand up or move around every 30 minutes. By moving around for a few minutes combined with some light stretching, you will feel more focused, less tired and ready to take on the rest of the day.

Eat healthily.

The foundation for a healthy lifestyle begins with eating healthy. Be sure to take a quality multivitamin with each meal and incorporate healthy treats for those in-between meal snacks.

Get a good night's sleep.

Getting enough winks helps boost your immune system and energy level, while also improving your memory, concentration and reaction time. Sleep is also vital for your body's healing and regeneration.
