You can now support electricity generated by renewable, environmentally friendly sources when you sign up for Green Power. Georgia's first energy from renewable resources is being harvested from two landfill sites around the state.

Founded by a group of 16 member-owned Georgia cooperatives, Green Power brought the first site in Taylor County on line in October. The second site, Roberts Road in Fayette County, came on line shortly thereafter.

When you subscribe, you'll pay an extra $4.50 a month on your electric bill for each 150-kWh block of Green Power. Just a few cents a day gives the environmental benefit of saving over 9,500 pounds of coal! Conserving our resources today will help ensure a better future for generations to come.
