Since 1975, each time Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA) had a choice, it chose Jackson EMC as its energy provider. Through decades of new buildings, expansions and relocations, KMA prefers the Jackson EMC partnership. The same held true when selecting a provider for Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE), its newest facility under construction in Jackson County.

A subsidiary of Kubota Corporation headquartered in Osaka, Japan, KMA (Gainesville) manufactures and assembles Kubota lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers, sub-compact tractors, loaders, backhoes and other implements. Employing more than 1,200 employees under two buildings totaling 616,000 square feet, Kubota manufactures and assembles one-third of all Kubota branded equipment sold in the U.S. at its 151-acre Gainesville, Ga., facility.

After undergoing three expansions since relocating to Gainesville, the company saw the need for a new facility in Jackson County. Mickey Lord, manufacturing engineering manager, says Jackson EMC was the only choice for them. "Jackson EMC's service is impeccable. They are the most responsive energy provider I've ever worked with. They are personable, open and take their accounts seriously. They make sure the expectations of the customers are always met."

"We're proud to be Kubota's energy provider and partner every step of the way. Whether we're conducting a lighting survey or an energy audit, we consider our business partnership a privilege. Although we've served them for more than 30 years, we realize every new facility over 900kW gives them a choice, and we're glad they choose us every time," says Scott Martin, Jackson EMC Commercial/Industrial marketing representative assigned to the Kubota account.

John Shiraishi, KMA president, and Hank Kawasaki, KIE president, believe relationships are the core of any business partnership.
