Each Right Choice home is covered by a three-year Right Choice Energy Warranty that guarantees that the energy used to heat and cool the house will be below a specified amount each year. As a Right Choice homeowner, you'll pay Jackson EMC's lowest rate, a rate designed to encourage energy efficiency. Right Choice homes also feature a one-year Right Choice Comfort Warranty that guarantees that the temperature in each room stays within three degrees of the thermostat setting. Owning a Right Choice home will save you money each month.

As is true of all new homes in Georgia, Right Choice homes must meet the requirements of the Georgia Energy Code, one of the nation's most energy efficient.

All Right Choice homes feature electric heat pumps, the most efficient way to heat and cool homes in Georgia's climate. Experts determine the right size for your heat pump based on industry standards to ensure that the heat pump works at top efficiency. Experts also confirm that the design of the home and its heating and cooling system meet energy-efficiency standards. During construction, technicians will inspect for proper air sealing and duct installation and pressure test the duct system.

When the home is complete, state-of-the art diagnostic equipment tests the home's energy-efficiency. This includes a blower door test for air tightness and an e-Scan test of the heating and air conditioning system. The e-Scan test uses wireless sensors throughout the home to measure the airflow, temperature and relative humidity, as well as the performance of the heat pump. Then sophisticated software analyzes the overall performance of the system.
