Prepare for winter storms before they happen. Stock up on supplies including:

• A NOAA weather radio such as those offered by Jackson EMC
• Flashlights
• Battery-operated radio
• Batteries
• First aid supplies
• Bottled water and food
• Three-day supply of non-perishable food that doesn't require cooking
• Manual can opener
• Pet food for your pet
• One-week supply of essential medications
• Special items for infant, elderly or disabled family members, including baby food and diapers
• A phone such as a corded or cell phone that doesn't require electricity to operate
