Competition in Jackson EMC's Energy Bowl brought together some of the brightest students last November.

On November 14, 12 students from area schools competed in hopes of winning a $500 scholarship, a $1,000 grant for their school and a spot on the Washington Youth Tour in 2003.
Phillip Lee of Duluth High School walked away with the new title as Energy Bowl Champion. Phillip is the son of Hwa Yeong and Chang Lee of Duluth. He is active in Interact, Beta, NHS and Habitat for Humanity. Phillip also participates in Science Olympiad, the Science and Math teams, the National Junior Classical League and Applause literary magazine. Phillip plans to attend either Yale University or Georgia Tech. He will serve as one of the representatives of Jackson EMC for the Washington Youth Tour.
We congratulate all of the contestants who competed in the Energy Bowl. Being chosen as the student to represent their high schools, often places students in competition against fellow classmates long before the Energy Bowl. Jackson EMC recognizes the hard work and dedication of each participant, and wish each of them success.
