Annual Meeting Is Your Meeting

When you hear the term member-owner, does it mean anything to you? It certainly means something to us. You share ownership of Jackson EMC with thousands of members. Every year our member-owners are invited to the Annual Meeting for an official year-in-review report from your CEO and the board of directors.

As a member-owner, you are entitled to a yearly state-of-the-company address, and the Annual Meeting is where you’ll receive that information. Our financial state, projects and programs are presented during the business meeting portion of this fun-filled event.

This is also your opportunity to meet your board of directors. Our nine directors meet regularly, plus committee meetings, to help lead your cooperative. Directors play a vital role in any business, and Jackson EMC is no different. We are grateful for their leadership and commitment to your cooperative’s success.

I and many of our employees will be working at the Annual Meeting. While you’re there, if you have any questions about your bill or about your cooperative, just find one of us and ask – you’ll be able to tell us by our matching Jackson EMC shirts – and we’ll be happy to help you. After all, you’re the reason we’re here.

You won’t attend any other meeting like this one. In addition to the business portion of our meeting, we have a program that is designed to entertain the entire family. There’s a Kids’ Carnival area for young members to play games and enjoy carnival rides. One of the highlights of the evening is our entertainment, which features The Kingsmen this year. Of course, Jackson EMC’s Annual Meeting wouldn’t be complete without our traditional barbecue dinner. Enjoy delicious barbecue chicken on the premises, along with a tasty dessert. Now where can you find a business meeting with so much to offer?

If you’re a new member or if this is your first Annual Meeting, we ask you to consider joining us on Thursday, September 24. You’ll gain a better understanding of Jackson EMC and enjoy a fun-filled autumn evening with the family.
