As Jackson EMC members, your membership means you have a special place in our cooperative – you're a member-owner. Your membership means you're part owner alongside thousands of other members. Ownership in a cooperative comes with advantages. Unlike investor-owned utilities that return profits to their shareholders, Jackson EMC returns revenues above our cost of doing business back to you in the form of capital credits. Capital credits represent your share of the equity ownership in Jackson EMC.

Each year, we also invite you to attend our Annual Members Meeting, where we conduct a business meeting to report the state of the cooperative. In addition to the business meeting, our traditional barbecue dinner, musical entertainment and prize giveaways keep the familiar cooperative spirit alive throughout the evening.

The Annual Meeting allows you the opportunity to meet the leaders of the cooperative that provides your power. You'll have a chance to view Jackson EMC's latest products, the latest industry technology, visit our health fair and much more.
