Meet the Operation Round Up Board

We proudly introduce you to the citizens who've agreed to volunteer their time and talents to serve on the Operation Round Up® Foundation board. Coming from all walks of life with a variety of interests and experiences, the board members held their first meeting on August 22. Their initial planning session allowed members to meet each other for the first time. They also established officers and future meeting dates. The Round Up began Monday, October 3, and the first round of grants are expected to be awarded in December.

 

 

John Mitchell works for Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI), a cooperative store located in Buford. He's also an agricultural consultant and practicing blacksmith.

Gwen Hill is the co-owner of Hill's Ace Hardware and Lumber Center in Winder, and serves as the in-house accountant.

The Very Reverend Mandy Brady (not pictured) is the priest-in-charge at Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Beauty Baldwin is the school administrator of Hopewell Christian Academy and a retired superintendent of Buford City Schools.

Joyce Britt has 19 years experience in real estate, and is currently on staff at Hebron Baptist Church. She and her husband also operate a non-profit business called Sunday School Growth Institute, Inc.

 

Hall County

Gus Lobo is an underwriter for Homestar Financial Corporation in Gainesville.

Sherry Rogers retired from AT&T® and currently provides office support to the Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church staff.

 

Jackson County

Amber Casper is the executive director of Jackson County Family Connection.

Shade Storey is vice-president of Community Bank & Trust.

 

Dr. Robert Hooper owns a dental practice in Danielsville.
