Operation Round Up (ORU) applications are available online, by mail, and in Jackson EMC offices.

If you or your organization is eligible, send in those applications. Applications will be thoroughly reviewed, so be sure your application is complete. ORU funds will be used to address charitable needs and provide financial assistance in the 10 counties served by Jackson EMC.

A separate board of directors, made up of volunteer members from Jackson EMC counties, will evaluate requests for assistance. The program serves the following counties: Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Franklin, Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison and Oglethorpe.

You don't have to do anything to participate in Operation Round Up. As a member, you're automatically included. Starting in October, your bill will be rounded up to the nearest dollar, and you'll be among thousands of Jackson EMC members collectively giving to make a difference in the community.

From providing meals to the elderly to special program support, ORU grants may address a variety of needs.

How will Operation Round Up funds be used?

The primary purpose of Operation Round Up is to address charitable needs and provide financial assistance anywhere in the 10 counties served by Jackson EMC. One hundred percent of contributions go toward improving the lives of others, and the funds will not be used for political purposes or electric bills.

The Jackson EMC Foundation was created to disperse the money collected by Operation Round Up.

Requests for assistance will be evaluated and grants awarded by a separate board of directors, made of volunteer members from Jackson EMC counties.
