Underground fee service rates will increase beginning August 1, 2004.

For more than 14 years, Jackson EMC has not increased underground service fees. Due to increased costs in labor, material and maintenance, a fee change is necessary in order for us to continue providing quality service.

The new fee will be $550 per lot within a subdivision. Homes outside a subdivision will be calculated on a lot-by-lot basis. Our underground service fees continue to remain competitive with other EMCs and investor-owned utilities. Underground service fee reductions are available for developments participating in the Right Choice program or any home with electric heat and water heating.
