Jackson County TRIAD/S.A.L.T. - (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together)

TRIAD is a program that promotes law enforcement and seniors to work together to reduce crimes against older adults.

For just $2, you can get your File of Life. The File of Life has three components - a small red plastic envelope with a magnetic strip across the back that attaches to a refrigerator, a sticker that can be posted outside the door and a wallet-sized information card. When emergency responders arrive at a house, they see that the resident has a File of Life sticker outside and know to look on the refrigerator to find it. The file contains doctor information, emergency contact numbers and lists any medication the person may be taking.

March of Dimes

The non-profit organization will have the latest information on pregnancy, pre-term labor and the importance of prenatal vitamins.

Rehabilitation Institute of Northeast Georgia Medical Center

Learn some stretching exercises to help prevent muscle injury.

St. Mary's Health Care System

Wellness Center will provide 15-minute therapeutic massages for $5. Also on site, the Women's Resource Center will provide information on breast health and offer free bone density and spirometry screenings. Spirometry exam measures lung capacity and airflow is checked to detect conditions like emphysema.

Kids will have a ball enjoying carnival rides, clowns, face painting and more. The kid's carnival will keep our younger members busy until it closes down at 8:30 p.m.

Rodeo Team Demonstrations

Always wanted to see a rodeo show? How about a lineman's rodeo? Jackson EMC's rodeo team will be in full gear to demonstrate some of their rodeo competition skills, which happen to be a part of their everyday jobs as well. Make this an educational experience for the young, and entertainment for the young-at-heart. It's an exciting experience.

Mayfield Dairy Ice Cream

Give a sweet ending to an exciting evening. After your barbecue chicken dinner, enjoy delicious Mayfield desserts while on the premises.

 

Who Wants to be a Lineman!

 

Back by popular demand

Take the Who Wants to be a Lineman challenge and win some nice prizes. You'll get to show off with contests that will challenge your skills as a lineman. Are you ready to play Who Wants to be a Lineman? Come give it shot. The contests will last from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

 

Parking and Directions

 

Parking is limited at the Annual Meeting site; however, you can park at the Jackson County Comprehensive High School on Winder-Jefferson Highway, and take the shuttle buses to the Annual Meeting. For your convenience, shuttle buses will be running every 30 minutes, so you can come and leave whenever you're ready. Just for helping out with space issues by parking offsite, the first 500 families to park in the specially marked area of the JCCHS lot will receive a special "thank you" gift.

Picking Up Your Tickets

Your tickets will not be mailed. Tickets will be distributed upon your arrival at the Annual Meeting. Tickets are provided to members and those living in their households. Adults should accompany children. Registration tables are arranged alphabetically based on your last name. When you arrive, find your table and register for the evening's activities. Remember to enjoy your barbecue dinner on the premises.

If you plan to use the off-site parking, please check the designated item on your registration form.

Handicapped Parking is available near the Annual Meeting entrance.

Registration and Reservations

Registration tables will be arranged alphabetically based on your last name. When you arrive, find your table and get registered so you can start enjoying the evening's activities.

Help us be sure to order enough barbecue chicken dinners. Please be sure to complete your reservation form and send it to us by Monday, September 20. No one will be turned away; however, reservations help us plan to meet your expectations.

Meal Tickets

Your tickets will not be mailed. You can pick them up at the registration desk the night of the Annual Meeting.

Tickets are provided to members and those living in their households. Families should accompany children.
