Life Change Counseling Center Receives Foundation Grant

Operation Round Up® supports center, which offers free counseling to low-income people.

Coping with unexpected life changes can be difficult, and getting counseling to help cope can be expensive. Fortunately, The Life Change Counseling Center, located in Danielsville, offers free counseling to low-income people in need. With the help of a $10,000 Jackson EMC grant, the organization can continue serving their community.

The non-profit organization works closely with the Department of Family and Children's Services, probation offices and the court systems in several counties. Addressing areas such as addiction, alcoholism and drug abuse, parenting skills and anger management, the organization serves several hundred citizens from Danielsville and surrounding counties each year.

Grant money will be used to offset increased rent costs incurred after token rent fees were no longer feasible. Don Ainbinder, president/CEO, says the organization is grateful for the grant. "The Jackson EMC Foundation grant will help us continue offering free and donation-based counseling to the people in our area. We are most thankful for Operation Round Up® and Jackson EMC's members."
