Jackson EMC joined 26 other Georgia EMCs in partnering with the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) to sponsor 88 state championships for the 2003-2004 school year.

"We realize that high school students are our future. By helping support this statewide program, we are helping develop Georgia's future leaders."

The GHSA sponsorship supports athletics ranging from football to riflery. Students will also compete in debate and one-act plays as a part of the GHSA. EMCs are also partnering with Georgia Public Television to televise football and basketball playoffs and Prep Sports, a weekly 30-minute sports show highlighting high school athletics. Be sure to tune in to the live broadcast of the football semi-finals and finals held in the Georgia Dome on December 12-13 and the boys' and girls' basketball finals in March 5-6, 2004. The 2003-2004 school year marks the fifth year of EMC support in which a number of cooperatives sponsor GHSA.
