Jackson EMC recently brought home several awards from the Spotlight on Excellence Awards held at the NRECA conference in Reno, NV. Jackson EMC receive d an Award of Excellence in the Best Employee Newsletter category for Jemclips.

The company received two Awards of Merit for the 2002 Annual Report, which highlighted employees' involvement in the community, and the Best Advertising Program. All winning entries were displayed at the conference, where only the top two awards were given in each category, with the Award of Excellence representing first place and the Award of Merit for second place.

Electric co-op communicators submitted more than 700 entries in the Spotlight on Excellence Awards Program, now in its 15th year.

Jemclips is edited by Katrice Bryant and designed by The Adsmith in Athens. The Adsmith also collaborates with Bonnie Jones, director of Public Relations and Communications, for the design and direction of both the annual report and the advertising campaign.
