Jackson EMC received a number of honors in two national competitions this year.

The Cooperative Communicators Association, an organization of marketing and communication professionals who communicate for cooperatives in the U.S. and Canada, presented awards at its conference held in Louisville, KY.

 

CCA serves all cooperatives, including credit unions and companies such as Sunkist and Land-O-Lakes. CCA cooperatives submitted more than 750 entries in this year's competition.

The National Rural Electric Association's conference recognized winners at the 2004 "Spotlight on Excellence" program at the Marketing/Member Services and Communication conference held in Columbus, OH. Jackson EMC received two Awards of Excellence.

The Spotlight awards competition is an annual event recognizing the top-rated communication and marketing efforts by electric cooperatives and related organizations. Electric cooperative communicators and marketing professionals submitted a record 745 entries in the Spotlight on Excellence program, now in its 16th year.
