Sixty-four years ago, Jackson EMC strung lines for the very first time, and traditions were established that will forever be a part of the cooperative.

When electric service first came to the rural areas of North Georgia, a few things were a part of the heritage, one being the love of Gospel music. So it was only natural to include live gospel music in the Annual Meeting - a tradition that has stood the test of time.

Many things have changed over the years; our annual meeting now hosts thousands, and we are the largest cooperative in the state and one of the largest in the country.
