Jackson EMC has worked for the improvement of our service area since our founding more than 65 years ago. We work to promote regional economic development and better jobs.

When needed, we furnish manpower and financial support for major fundraising efforts by local charities. Each year, our employees help make the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the March of Dimes Walk America fundraising campaigns successful. Chambers of Commerce in our service area receive the full backing of Jackson EMC and during the past few years, all four of our district managers and one of our marketing representatives served terms as local presidents.

As a corporate pioneer in the business/education partnership education program in Georgia, we are currently partners with area schools where our employees work with students as mentors, readers and friends. They participate in school events, repair playground equipment, host cookouts for students and teachers, build outdoor classrooms and sponsor electric vehicle projects.

During the year, we receive recognition for community service, including awards from the Georgia Economic Developers Association, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Madison County Clean and Beautiful. Our employees earned numerous awards for their individual achievement in local chambers and community service organizations.
