Right Choice™ Homeowners' Survey Results In

More than 81 percent of Right Choice™ customers described themselves as satisfied or very satisfied with their Right Choice home purchases in a recent survey. Whether homeowners moved into a Right Choice subdivision or had a Right Choice home custom built, 64 percent agree that keeping comfort and saving energy were two priorities in their home buying decision.

Jackson EMC Residential Marketing Representative Robert Akin says, "Helping build Right Choice homes is more than just a job. It's seeing happy kids playing outside a Right Choice home and knowing their home is comfortable on the inside." Comfort, energy efficiency and home warranties grant more than a promise to customers. A Right Choice home has Jackson EMC's word that it's energy-efficient, guaranteed.

Homeowners find home-related information from a variety of sources, with the majority saying they look to friends, neighbors and business associates followed by TV fix-it shows. "We want our Right Choice homeowners and all members to know that they can come to us as a resource for home-related information first. We came in third in terms of sources of information, and we have Pat Simpson as our spokesperson to help reach our members familiar with his TV fix-it shows," says Amy Bryan, Jackson EMC residential marketing director. In our survey, we also found that members wanted more energy saving tips. "We have brochures, do-it-yourself DVDs, residential marketing representatives and a high-tech Web site program (Home Analyzer) to answer members' home-related questions."

Satisfaction surveys help Jackson EMC continue to improve service and provide insight for future decisions. Right Choice homeowners are among the many groups surveyed by the cooperative, and their feedback is valuable.
