Reducing energy usage during summer peak demand periods helps us control the high cost of producing electricity in the summer. The more off-peak electricity you use, the more you save.

If your home is unoccupied during peak demand times, you can avoid operating high-energy-use equipment like air conditioners and electric water heaters, and you'll receive a lower billing rate per kilowatt-hour.
