Quick on the draw under pressure, North Hall High School junior Andrew Floyd survived three fast-paced rounds for the 2004 Energy Bowl Winner title.
Andrew's win secures his seat as one of Jackson EMC's delegates on the Washington Youth Tour, a $1,000 scholarship, a $1,000 school grant and a Palm handheld organizer.
Andrew is very involved in his high school where he's a member of the Academic Team, Math Team, Beta Club, Student Council and Spanish and Science Clubs. In 2004, Andrew participated in the Georgia Governor's Honor Math program.
Andrew is dedicated to community service through volunteer work at the Good News at Noon Food Kitchen, the Hall County Humane Society and the Leadership Team at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Upon graduation, Andrew plans to attend Columbia University. Andrew is the son of Dorothy and Lawrence Floyd of Gainesville.
