Jackson EMC is a not-for-profit cooperative owned by the members it serves.
Annually, amounts collected above the cost of providing electric service are credited to member-customers' capital accounts based on their patronage (total billing less sales tax). Your 2003 capital credit was 11.38 percent of your total patronage.
Your capital is divided into two components, capital before allocation from associated organizations and capital from associated organizations. These components were 10.06 percent and 1.32 percent, respectively. This notification is for all rates except QF, LPS, LGS or MBS (you can find your rate designation printed on your monthly bill). Members with those rates have received a separate notification.
